I was born and raised in Ohio, but I now live in the sunny state of Florida. I've got a phenomenal husband and 3 great kids, who are now all cool young adults. I also have the sweetest golden retriever named Pumpkin. I enjoy hiking, boating, swimming, biking, or just relaxing with a good book. I love dating my husband and going on adventures with my kids. I also have so much fun hanging out with my fun friends and volunteering at church!
However, I have lived through some very dark days. During my childhood years, I grew up in an abusive and dysfunctional family. During my young adult years, I found myself in an unhealthy and controlling relationship.
When I was ready to give up - I found my faith.
I left everything and completely started over with 3 young children. I worked very hard putting my life back together, the healthy way. I put myself back through school, lots of school! And I found some new friends who truly cared about me.
I am now a Certified Professional Life Coach, a Certified Christian Life Coach, a Life-Skills and Wellness Educator, and have a Graduate Certificate in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University. I have always been in the "helping" field and have spent my career encouraging all kinds of people going through different forms of crisis. I now focus most of my time on private appointments, but I often speak at events, teach groups in workshops, and write.
Overcoming my personal struggles with hard work, plus my extensive education and invaluable life-experience supporting people in crisis, have equipped me to help my clients in their specific challenges.
So no matter where you are in your journey I want you to know that you don't have to be perfect to be successful. I want to be that safe, private, and confidential person that you can go to ask questions, get counseling and coaching on all things "life and faith" and notice a positive difference in your life because of our relationship. I want you to see growth, healing, overcoming, and confidence in your life!
I hope to hear from you soon. I would be honored to walk through your challenges with you.
~Dana

What is a Life Coach?
"Life coaching is a one-on-one collaborative process in which a trained professional (the coach) helps you (the client) achieve your personal life goals." ~noomii.com
"A life coach is a type of wellness professional who helps people make progress in their lives. They aid their clients in improving their relationships, careers, and day to day lives." ~verywellmind.com
What does a Life Coach do?
"What ever your goals, a professional coach gives you motivation, accountability and support, keeping you focused and taking action from week to week." ~noomii.com
"Life coaches can help you clarify your goals, identify obstacles holding you back, and then help up with strategies for overcoming each obsticle. By creating these strategies, life coaches target your unique skills and gifts. By helping you make the most of your strengths, life coaches provide the support you need to achieve long-lasting change." ~verywellmind.com
What is the difference between a Life Coach and a Therapist?
"Unlike life coaches, therapists and other mental health professionals focus on healing, treating mental health conditions, and help people work through trauma and other issues from their past. Life coaches cannot treat mood disorders, anxiety disorders, addiction, or any other mental health condition." ~verywellmind.com
